Depending on the products to be manufactured and on the production process, pressing processes are automated in a different manner.
Many punching and forming processes can be carried out from the coil. To accomplish this, double sided presses or four-frame presses with strip processing system are frequently used. On request of the customer we supply both individual presses and complete systems with strip processing system. As the press forms one unit with the feed, many of our customers order the machines directly with the appropriate roll feed so that both can be operated together via one control with common tool data memory. We are also in the position to automatize and retrofit existing presses (foreign makes) with a belt processing system.
For automation, handling and transfer systems must be used for many pressing processes. Here as well double and four-frame presses are often used. Depending on your wishes, we can supply both the corresponding press and the complete system with transfer system.
Feeding of bar stock (round material, flat material, square material) often requires special systems with appropriate roller beds, transfer devices, H-frames, cross conveyors, etc. This is also included in our delivery program, and we are in the position to design and deliver these systems in accordance with the customer’s specification.
An important form of the automation is the feeding and unloading of the parts using a robot. We link your press with the appropriate robot so that they form one unit. We can of course also supply complete systems including robot, the robots being purchased from renowned companies.
Another form of automation is the work with indexing rotary tables. Best suitable for this are c frame presses. Under the heading “Single-frame presses” you will find a concrete example of this application.
